Early access and research privacy notice
Clarity is an early-stage product. This notice covers the information collected through the current early-access and research forms. It does not yet describe the future YouTube-connected product, which will need its own product privacy documentation before launch.
What we collect
If you join early access or take part in research, we may collect your name, email address, creator/business/community name, role, and free-text answers about what you would like help understanding.
Why we collect it
We use this information to manage the early-access list, contact you about Clarity, understand who may benefit from the product, recruit research or pilot participants, and improve the product direction.
How it is stored
Early-access and research responses are currently stored in tools controlled by the Clarity founder, including Google Workspace/Google Sheets where applicable. Access should be limited to people who genuinely need it for Clarity research and product development.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your details for unrelated third-party marketing.
- Joining early access does not give Clarity access to your YouTube account.
- Any future YouTube connection will require a separate, explicit authorisation flow.
How long we keep it
We keep early-access and research information only while it remains useful for legitimate Clarity product-development, research and contact purposes. We will review and remove information that is no longer needed.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you submitted, or ask not to be contacted again. Until a dedicated privacy email is published, reply to any Clarity email you receive with your request.
Future product data
The future Clarity product is intended to use authorised, read-only platform data and to minimise unnecessary storage. Before any real creator account is connected in a production product, Clarity will publish more detailed information covering OAuth permissions, platform data, retention, deletion and account disconnection.
Changes to this notice
This notice will evolve as Clarity moves from research and early access into a live product. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
